True Oldies WBNM 1050 is now...

Real Country 1050 WBNM.... I spoke with one of the employees of Jimmy Jarrell Communications at Auburn's City Fest a few weeks ago, and she told me that WBNM was going to flip to Classic Country... I heard the new format today, and they are carrying Citadel's satellite format. I believe this will fill a format gap in the Alexander City area, as the only classic-leaning county station is some 35 miles away in Ashland.
The oldies programming is still around on 1130 WACQ in Tallassee and 1290 WYEA in Sylacauga

I can't really pick it up here in Auburn... too much electrical noise. Plus, I grew up around the same satellite fed format as a kid anyways. It is a refreshing change to the AM dial around Lake Martin, though :D
