Frank Foley is reportedly still working at the station although not in an on air capacity. Paul Healey is part of the Peter Blute morning show along with Mike Roberts on news. As far as the formats, "Swing 830" had an audience but they couldn't sell it to advertisers; "True Oldies 830" did better with advertisers but there was no audience; the jury is obviously still out on "True Talk 830". IMO, their talk format has a good chance to be a success in the ratings and with the advertisers. I'm already hearing ads from businesses that did not touch the station under the previous formats. The mix of talk shows should make them a player in the talk radio "wars". I have already heard callers from areas of MetroWest on the Howie Carr show remarking that it was great to have him on WCRN with a strong signal.I do wonder why they carry the syndicated Doug Stephan show in the morning without any local cut-ins for news and weather from 5 to 7 a.m. With people commuting earlier than ever to work, you would think they would have local news earlier than the current 7 a.m. start. If you want news, weather and traffic reports and start the day listening to another station, what are the chances that you will switch your dial at 7 a.m. for the Peter Blute show?
