Trump sues Wall Street Journal, Rupert Murdoch and two reporters for Epstein letter story

Here is another one where Wall Street Journal has an op-ed on the search warrant on John Bolton. Yes the op-ed in the Wall Street Journal criticizes the White House over the Bolton investigation.

Despite the president's claims of ignorance regarding the raid, the publication highlighted his past criticisms of his former national security adviser and United Nations ambassador from his first term.

The editorial board also noted the immediate termination of Bolton’s protective security detail upon Trump's return to the White House, despite threats to his life connected to actions against Iran.

“This is the kind of gratuitous viciousness that has increasingly defined Mr. Trump’s return to office,” the board wrote.

The publication also directed sharp criticism at FBI Director Kash Patel, who tweeted that “NO ONE is above the law” just minutes before news of the Bolton raid broke.

Here is the Wall Street Journal releasing the note between Epstein and Trump. Then again the Murdochs are vindicated here. Here is Congress reaction to this.

His Majesty is still trying to deflect attention from the Epstein Files. He's flailing wildly, looking for something that will gain traction. So far it's not working.

While I agree with your analysis, the questions in my mind are: 1) Will the current administration appeal this case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court; and 2) will the U.S. Supreme Court use this case to rewrite or overturn the New York Times vs. Sullivan decision from (if memory serves) 1965 that allowed the press broader coverage of political figures and people in the public eye. You may scoff at my second concern, but I have heard reports that even some of the liberal Justices (Elena Kagan) have concerns about the New York Times-Sullivan decision.

The Trump v. NYT case has been dismissed, so they're not appealing it anywhere. If they wanted to be vindictive -- and when has His Orange Majesty or his little yellow minions ever been that? -- they'd have to refile the case, with changes to their allegations so it won't just be kicked out of another court for similar reasons. I don't disagree with your concern about using this case as a stalking horse for overturning NY Times v. Sullivan, but just so the record is correct, the ruling was in 1964. (But your memory was better than mine, I initially had it confused with the Pentagon Papers case from the early '70s.)

Here’s more that sparked the investigation of the Trump lawsuit on the Murdochs. This time one of the detained members of Epstein’s operations is now denied an appeal.
I'm starting to wonder whether the root of SCOTUS's reluctance to challenge His Majesty's insanity is tied to any of the justices also being named in the Epstein Files? Maybe that's part of why he's fighting so hard to keep it unreleased, because it would show how deep the conflict of interest runs.

"Whatever you want, Sir, just don't reveal our corruption or destroy any more of our reputations."

Here is an update and yes it’s an extension we seen in the Trump Lawsuit against the Murdochs and Wall Street Journal over the same issue.

Here's something that was originally sparked by the lawsuit the White House had on the Murdochs over the Epstein files. Now congress is investigating the White House role in those allegations. Yes I didn't think it would go the way it did or even a Republican administration suing the Murdochs and having to be vindicated by Congress over those allegations.
