It's interesting that many red state governments continue to fund public broadcasting, even though their reps in congress voted against similar funding:
I wonder if those reps now realize they were lied to by the white house about the CPB recission. They were told it was money for biased reporting, when in fact a lot of it was money for state broadcasting authorities. If they truly were against government-funded broadcasting, they would have sought buyers for their state TV systems.

Arkansas’ public television network will receive $500,000 in additional state funds offered by Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders to supplement its operating budget under a proposal that received initial legislative approval Tuesday.
The additional money is going before lawmakers less than two weeks after the public television network’s commission reversed course on its decision to cut ties with PBS.
