ANYONE FEEL LIKE THERE ARE SOME CHANGES AFOOT AT KMTT? NO ONE HAS MENTIONED THEM IN AWHILE...ISN'T THAT A CLASSIC SIGN? I SAY MARTY REIMER IS OUT AND UPPED TO MORNINGS. ANYONE HAVE A GUESS?

KMTT Changes

Nope -

Fisher and West are headed towards their big 10th anniversary doing mornings
on the Mountain next year...and will still broadcast at a Tully's near you every Friday for $1.03 lattes....

I love this site. First everyone thinks I'm FITZ and now they think KMTT is changing. Are you crazy? KMTT is one of the most solid stations in this market with heritage, ratings and an established morning and afternoon show.
I know for a FACT that Fisher and West are under contract and going no where. Marty is a monster in afternoon drive. Most impressive is the amount of money the station makes, without having to run ten billion commercials like KMPS, KPLZ or KBKS. This station is a market treasure. They take risks on music, know their audience and have heritage talent that gets few remarks. I would take Fisher and West over Kent and Alan, Bob Rivers, Ichabod or FITZ on any day. They are without question the best morning show in Seattle for music, news and entertaining their core audience. Period.

Don't believe everything you read on this site. Really don't believe anything you read about KMTT. The station is gold.

I thought Marty Reimer did a great job for the 2 weeks he covered mornings while Fisher & West were on vacation; however I don't see them messing with his success in PM Drive by moving him to mornings.

Outside of the 5:00 Funny, KMTT is all about music, not personality. The morning show always underperforms the station. How do you tell if you have a good morning show? By how much they outperform the rest of the station.
Very few do that in Seattle. In the last couple of books the only shows that outperform their stations are: KIRO, KOMO, KVI, KZOK, KMPS, KPLZ.
Not very impressive. Morning shows that drastically underperform their stations are: KMTT, KWJZ, KRWM, KBKS, JACK, MOVIN, KJR-FM and kNDD.
Everyone else is about even with their station ratings.

Guess you don't "know best" what REALLY matters.

How do you tell if you have a good morning show?

It bills a boatload of cash.

Wallingford Tully's Friday 9-22 5:30am-10am

Meet Fisher and West at the Wallingford TULLY'S this morning (9-22),

Now that's pretty funny! :D

Fisher and West are a strong billing show, even if their ratings underperform the station. The demos are pure and solid. KRWM mornings also underperform, but the demos are pure and solid. So who outperforms their station by the widest margin? In the last book it was KZOK,KPLZ, KMPS, KIRO,KUBE, KOMO and KVI. Interesting that all of these morning shows get top dollar. Try buying mornings right now on KMPS, KZOK, KPLZ, KUBE they are all sold out.

Lots of spots to be had on JACK, MOVIN, KJR-FM where there are no air-talent. Many advertisers want to be on local morning shows and recently I have been getting requests from regional and national clients for airchecks of morning shows they plan to purchase. The dictate is live and local.

Agency people love the Mountain - it's hip, cool and urban Seattle. I'm sure the core audience is in nieghborhoods of Seattle and not Duval or Puyallup. Listening to and buying (most important!) The Mountain gives them all something to feel smuggly superior about.
