I have subscribed the sirius online for one month (started in early Aug). The good thing is the Premium streams sound excellent (except for the occasional click sound, I dunno what that is).
The programming OTOH seems to have room for improvement. I was hoping for a wide variety Adult Contemporary station. Starlite was a big dissapointment. Unusually upbeat and tight playlist. Stuff like La Bouche "Be My Lover", Shakira "Hips Don't Lie", Macerena, Jennifer Lopez and some rap remix of the new Chubby Checker song. 1 in 4 songs actually fits an AC format. Can't stand more than 10 minutes of it.
Now Sirius Love and Movin EZ are more listenable. Both sound extremely similar. Sirius Love though hardly plays any Currents. It should to differentiate itself from Movin EZ. XM seems to have Sirius beat in this area, The Blend is softer and has a wider playlist, as well as The Heart (I listen to them on AOL Radio).
I do like The Bridge though. Here's where you'll hear more obscure MOR songs, like Van Morrison, Rickie Lee Jones, etc. But it would be nice to have some newer songs in the playlist that fit the format, such as stuff by John Mayer, Nicol Sponberg, etc.
The dance selections were an even bigger dissapointment. The Beat is very similar to KTU, lots of pop, very little new dance music and an extremely tight playlist. XM's BPM is much better, again, heard on AOL radio.
I am trying other channels but I doubt I'd keep Sirius beyond this month. Trying it online is the best thing to do before you get a radio, like I did.
