I don't have many details but word is longtime DFW news anchor Rick Wais of TSN is hospitalized after suffering a stroke. He's apparently at JPS. Those who are closer to the situation can add more if they're so inclined.

Prayers for Rick for a full recovery.

Rick's is doing a little better this evening. Has some feeling now in his left side, but right side is still paralyzed. Cannot speak, but can communicate with his eyes. In more than 20-years together in this crazy business Rick is the consumate newsman, the best I've ever worked with. Please keep him in your prayers.

Crap! C'mon Rick, get better. You're leaving too big of a void being off the air. Radio news needs all the professionals it can get. We're all praying for you.
