Some changes in Tucson TV news personalities...

  • KOLD: A long running contract dispute has pushed Scott Kilbury off the air after the two parties couldn't agree on a new contract, and once he began looking for a job, his announcement of accepting it pushed him off the air (announcement at 4pm, couldn't go on the air at 9pm). Instead, he's going to WHEC Rochester.
  • KVOA: Lorraine Rivera has left the station to spend more time with her family including her 11-month-old daughter, while sports director Ryan Recker has finally landed a job in his hometown of Pittsburgh and will start at WTAE next month.
 
I think Chuck is going through the same thing. Interesting the local media didn't seem to report a contract dispute with kilbury, or at least that I noticed. It is almost impossible to keep up with the players on the local Tucson news, seems to be constantly changing lately, especially weekends. I would say the only long terms news anchor left in Tucson is Guy Atchley.
