Tuesday Afternoon Football

I know that this idea would never fly, but since this is a tv board, I thought I would share it. Before the NFL shakeup which sent Sunday night football to NBC and Monday night football to ESPN, I had this wonderful NFL package in mind. First, keep MNF on ABC and SNF on ESPN.

For NBC, I proposed airing my idea, Tuesday Afternoon Football. It would be a marquee matchup of all the BAD teams from the previous season. For example, a 49ers vs Lions game would be on TAF. The Announcers would be Dennis Miller and two dudes they find off the street and pay $50 just to sit in the booth and make Dennis look good. For a sideline reporter, they can also find someone off the street, or let Paris Hilton do the sideline reporting.

The great thing about TAF is it would be cheap for NBC to buy since they have no fancy sports anchors they have to pay. Heck, the opening credits could be done by a 5 year old doing crayon drawings of the two teams (or maybe Paris Hilton can do the opening credits). The best part is since it's on Tuesday afternoon, most people won't have to sit through bad football on Sunday.

I really don't thik it matters when football is on, as for most people it is just something to bet on.
