Tuesday, CC Miami

So, now that the rumor of Clear Channel planning "change" on Tuesday, what do you think will happen at CC Miami and CC WPB?

Any predictions for expected cuts?

An educated guess would be to dump the local Wild 95.5 morning show for one of the national Top 40 morning drive programs (i.e. Elvis duran, kid kraddick, etc.). The fact that they kept a morning show that sounds like a southern small market program for so long is amazing. West Palm is a decent size market that has reach into Broward county and they put on a morning show suited for Mississippi makes no sense and then they replay it in the afternoon. My guess is this one is history.

I don't think the Wild Morning Show is going anywhere. First off, I don't think it sounds like a backwater Southern show. It has been on the air since 2000. The personalities are familiar to the audience, and the show is no more or less entertaining than, say, Elvis Duran's nationally syndicated show heard on Y-100. Secondly, the Wild Morning Show also provides the station's afternoon show. So CC has killed two birds with one stone.

With that said, I hope Kevin and Virginia remain. They are the one bright spot on a once-great, now-dump of a station...

I saw somewhere 30 in West Palm. 40 in Miramar. Not sure exactly who, though.
No matter who, it was too many.

Do you even look at the ratings? The Wild 95.5 Morning Show was number one in SEVEN demos in the Fall Book that just came out last Friday. Get a clue.

Think Circuit City... Everything must go!
What must go should be the wannabe prgrammers, AKA CC suits and beancounters. Time to bring back real radio people. CC's way will never work.
