Tuesday June 21st - even more FM DX!

E-Skip really fired up in Southern Michigan this evening. Along with one relog, I also confirmed three new stations!

95.7- KOTY- Mason, TX- Oldies- NEW #624
92.3- KRNH- Kerrville, TX- Country- 'The Ranch' NEW #625
93.3- KDHT- Cedar Park, TX- Hip-Hop- Same general area as the other two stations, and a check from stoneage.yes.com matched my song info! NEW #626

And for extra credit, whilst this was all going on, I heard a new station via tropo...

103.7- WCZE- Harbor Beach, MI- Cont. Christian- NEW #623.. Recent sign-on.

And my e-skip relog...

88.5- KEOM- Mesquite, TX- 70's Hits. Very unique station!

And some unconfirmed stations

88.7- Religious
88.7- College perhaps? A liner about anti-commercial radio, then lost..
89.9- K-Love.. Two full power K-Loves in my E area from tonight. Wichita Falls and Lawton, OK. So I can't put this one in.

Ignore my inaccurate station listing in my signature. I confirmed KDHT while typing this.

FM E-Skip DX Tuesday night here in the Hudson Valley, NY too, with two new loggings.

KSBH-94.9 Coushatta, LA “The River” with country music at 8:49pm, quite a good signal at times. LA #23, also co-incidentally #23 logging on 94.9. 1266 miles.

KKRW-93.7 Houston, TX “The Arrow” “Houston’s Only Classic Rock Station” at 9:04pm. Signal was "flutterry", but stayed in for several minutes. Good sounding station, playing Jethro Tull & Cream while I was listening. 1470 miles for #2 most-distant FM logging. Texas #6. By the way, KKRW lists their entire song library (about 1700 songs) on their website.

Opening started with not-needed KAYT-88.1 LA at 7:52pm, mentioning their 70000 watts. Between 8 and 8:45, KAYT was often the only skip being heard. Also noted KYFL-89.5 LA at 9pm, logged about 3 weeks ago, and as usual a bunch of unID’s, including one on 95.7 that listed several affiliates in different states. It sounded like a religious network... signal was not too good.

That must have been a pretty localized ion cloud... I didn't get anything. Tropo brought in WFUR, though, from Grand Rapids, and it drowned WWWW out pretty well throughout most of the night.<P ID="signature">______________
