Tuesday WLTQ will flip to Adult Standards

Clear Channel WLTQ-AM has dropped the liberal Talk radio network's programming and is simulcasting sister News/Talk WSCC-FM.
The simulcast is only temporary. Tuesday WLTQ will flip to Adult Standards as "AM 730, The Music Of Your Life."

All I can say here is, I'm surprised CC would make a move like this after supposedly being committed to liberal talk, at least in Charleston, S.C. At least the adult standards format will be given another chance in the Low Country.

Maybe they noticed the adult standards format is doing just fine up the road in Myrtle Beach, with WEZV/WYEZ rated Number 1.

WEZV is easy listening, not really 'standards' - a mix of instrumentals and soft oldies/AC vocals.

They ALSO still mix in 1-2 standards per hour, a mix of new and classic standards. They even run the 2-hour Big Band Jump on Saturday Evenings and 2 hours of 'Sounds of Sinatra' Friday nights.
