Arbitron Will Issue Revised Tulsa Winter '06 Book After Finding Ineligible KMOD Diary.
ARBITRON has notified TULSA subscribers that a Revised WINTER '06 BOOK will be released next MONDAY, JUNE 26th after finding an ineligible diary from an 18-year old male reflecting 72 hours of continuous listening to Rocker KMOD. Estimates for KMOD are likely to be significantly affected in the revised TULSA BOOK. Other stations may be slightly affected due to sample balancing and reprocessing procedures that accompany deleting a diary from the sample. Revised SPRING PHASE 1 ARBITRENDS will also be released on JUNE 26th.
 
Wow... How the hell did they not notice that BEFORE releasing the book?

So much for KMOD's big ratings spike. I guess their big jump just went in the K-MODE.

maybe CC has realized the true benefit of voice tracking - getting multiple credit for djs on simulataneously...
 
Did the book reissue have any effect? I was told that it was only going to take away quarter-hours from KMOD.

I cannot believe that they didn't catch the diary in their review process. How did it get caught?

KXOJ has been an awesome place to work.

Bob Thornton knows how to train staff to be better than they were when they came to him. I know that I'm a better jock (thanks to Bob) than I was when I came here 4 years ago.

Bob is even letting me stay on part-time at KXOJ from my home-studio. So that's a pleasant bonus.

BTW, bob needs a couple of jocks since Rachelle is also leaving to have her baby and won't be back except for part-time.

I figured I better figure out what the heck Bob was refering too and found this thread. I clicked on the "logged" feature to see if "kxojdj"'s IP was anywhere near mine and instead of finding the IP a pop up window appeared with the following text:

So... is Bob assuming that this "kxojdj" is me or can you really see users IP on here? I hate when people assume things and this e-mail rubbed me the wrong way. Let's all be honest with eachother here. It's clear that "kxojdj" is not an actual KXOJ dj by the subject matter he posts on here. I just wonder how I can prove and clear my name because I believe Mr. Bob has went a little too far and I expect an apology once I can expose "kxojdj".

Hi Matt!

How are things in Albany, Georgia? You are correct that only moderators or owners can see I.P. addresses. If someone could prove that "KXOJDJ" were on, say an Albany, Georgia Comcast high speed internet i.p. they would have to have been told that by a moderator or owner of the board.

Hey Bob and friends!

I have a suggestion. Use your "magical powers" to trace MY IP on this user name (djmattshady) which I've used since at least 2001 when I was in Joplin MO. I'm well aware that IP address changes from time to time but why not take a stab and see if it's anywhere near the IP you believe I'm at with "KXOJDJ".

It seems odd to me that just because I live in Georgia that it would automatically be me. If you've traced it back to Comcast high speed internet in Albany Georgia (as your last post suggests) then I think you've been lied to. Unless Comcast has moved in the market in the past year, there is no way the IP you've traced could be from where you are suggesting. It's been a little over a year ago since I lived in that area and Comcast was not there. I moved when our company moved out of the Albany market and into the Valdosta market last year and just three months ago I personally moved to the Macon market!

It would help if "KXOJDJ" would just be a stand up guy (or girl) and admit who they are. I can see why someone might have a chip on their shoulder towards KXOJ but let's not take my name down too please.

Oh and Bob, you sure have come across quite cocky with this situation. If one of my PD's were to have an unfortunate issue like this come up, I would have expected them to call or e-mail who was "suspected" of the posts and address it in a more business like matter whether than approach it with the comment "Dude- find a hobby. The board shows your I.P. address...". Some way or another you'll find that you've wasted your time accusing me. When you do, I hope you are a stand up guy too and admit that you have crossed the line.
