tur oldies

Yes Rob Lee works from 2-7 or 2-8 everyday so that they can give prizes away and have a real dj there for traffic times. Heard Melissa Miller on there today and a couple of days last weeek doing traffic. But Freddie Brooks is just a fill in and does a good job. Dont know much more than that.......

True Oldies

It was announced yesterday that this guy Freddie Brooks in now the permanat afternoon guy on True Oldies, replacing Rob Lee.

Haven't heard what Rob Lee plans to do now.

Maybe Roddy has the 'skinny' on this...

Russell Smith (engineer) had the right idea..'get out while the getting is good.'

Freddie Brooks is a member of the Nebraska Radio Hall of Fame, who was trapped at WIBW radio in Topeka, Kansas for a few years. Fortunately for him, his wife was able to take a posiition in Atlanta.

In my experiences with him, since I too was trapped in Topeka, are he is a good guy. Loves Radio, does a decent job, really doesn't make many mistakes, and was fortunate enough not to be ruined by his Topeka PD Radio Rich Bowers.

On a second note, he is not a bad golfer.

Well I emailed Rodney and he didnt know anything about Rob Lee, I hate it if he left or got his walking papers. He has been around a long time. Well if anyone hears why, let us all know.

Brooks is OK, but the station's inability to keep product on the air surpasses even bush league. Over the poast week, I've heard dropouts lasting from a second to twenty minutes. It appears that at times the storage system will go quiet until the silence sense catches it, and the transmitter feed (or the satellite feed, can't tell which) will break up and go to silence for a bit.
They need to get their on-air stuff together. They currently border on the embarassing.

i WISH THAT THEY WOULD PUT BOOMER ON THERE. HE IS A GOOD ONE. OR PERHAPS EVEN MARK MCCAIN OR EVEN AJ CANNON, BUT DONT GET ME WRONG FRED IS A GOOD ONE, I ENJOYED LISTENING TO HIM AT KICKS AND THE EAGLE WHEN WAS ON THERE. MELISSA MILLER DOESNT SOUND TO BAD EITHER LOL

I agree with you, bernie. Boomer or Mark McCain would have made a tremendously better choice. They both had roots here in Georgia. They can relate to the people who grew up here as well as the 'carpetbaggers.' LOL

........ Please enjoy the music while this post is being reached ....... Don't forget about the Cannon Man Ripper. He still loves ya buddy!

Shannon? Noooooooooooo! He doesn't get a say in personnel decisions! Remember? (insert man sneezing the word bullsh*t here).

I heard Al Hardy on true oldies this morning, wow that bring a alot of old memories back..... the old DJ from weekends on KICK. I googled him and he still works at KICKS and some inspiration radio programming

Al Hardee also has a daily syndicated show on Music of Your Life, over stations throughout the U.S.
