Turkey and Football

From a local angle, does anyone remember the Tech-Central game in Scranton on Thanksgiving morning? It was a huge tradition.
 
Speaking of big Thanksgiving football games, how about Pittston Area/Wyoming Area. I still remember as a young kid going to that game when Cefalo was on the team. I really think we lost something when the end of season rivalries stopped being played on Thanksgiving.
 
The Thanksgiving Day football games were huge. Tech-Central in the morning and Dunmore-West in the afternoon. Dinners were schedules around those games. Sometimes I really miss the ease of the "good ol' days."

Absolutely the two biggest rivalries in NE PA, bar none with Tech-Central being the hottest of the two. Those games defined Thanksgiving Day for generations.
