TURN ON THE MIKE BEFORE YOU SPEAK!

I don't know if I was the only one watching Game 1 of the WNBA Finals last night, but if you did, especially you youngins interested in being on TV someday should have learned a lesson or two.

If you're behind the camera: Don't go to someone if they're NOT READY.

If you're having technical diffculties: Inform the camera person that you are NOT READY.

If your microphone is not on, TURN THE THING ON BEFORE YOU ARE ON CAMERA! (good job Rebecca Lobo for making yourself look like an idiot on national TV! P.S. Why the heck did you retire from the game anyway! you were the 2nd best post player of all time next to Margo Dydek who is still trying to win a championship)

I'm here in Connecticut. My brother is attending Game 2 tonight in Montville, CT (village of Uncasville). I'll have him tell me if anything off camera of interst happens. :)

Well, you don't know much about the TV side of things, so I'd hold off on giving "youngin's" any suggestions.

That's dead wrong. You NEED to be ready to be "tossed to" at a moment's notice. It's LIVE TV!

That's not a guarantee, either

That's not correct advice either. The announcers don't have control of their microphones. The audio engineer/producer of the broadcast controls them. It might be a possibility there's an "off/on" switch on the mic, but they shouldn't be screwing with it. That's why there's an engineer handling that on site.

Geez, problems happen. Doesn't mean she is an idiot cuz her mike wasn't on. I don't see you on TV doing reports at a huge basketball game.<P ID="signature">______________
