This is one of those songs that gets played on all 3 CC stations in Providence. HJY probably plays both versions and they both fit. Seger's version fits on B101. WHAT THE HELL is it doing on Coast? Granted it's a mellow piece of music but it's a rock and roll road song. Image-wise it doesn't even fit. Sometimes I really have to wonder what goes on in their minds over there when it comes to 93.3's music and after years and years and changes and changes they just can't get it right. Is it me or are they the only mainstream ac in the world that plays Faith Hill, Josh Groban, and Play That Funky Music White Boy?

Too bad Astro Tele-Communications doesn't have ownership of the place......99.3 "The Bridge" would be a really nice fit on a signal that so many more of us would actually be able to pull in and enjoy.

If a format you really enjoy is on a signal you can't pull in well enough, does it really exist? ;)

The station up the dial on the trail plays both as well Seeger and Wild Cherry, usually during the lunch hour

The station up the dial on the trail is more focused and knows who their audience is. Every station that has a request lunch hour breaks the rules a little during that hour but everyone knows requests are not something you use when it comes to regular programming. Lite, PRO-FM, and HOT also don't have a tendency to sound like the same station musically at times like Coast and B101. I won't even go into HJY here because the attitude of the station is different than the rest but theoretically you could move the entire Coast staff to B101 and vice versa as there's little difference in the way the personalities come across. As far as Seger he's become an AC staple but Turn The Page in spite of not being one of his rockers is an AOR/classic rock/classic hits song.
