This may not be the place, but I wanted to give it a try. If this is improper please forgive....I'm looking for a site that has tv airchecks and a request board. Like what you guys have here. I'm an avid tv aircheck collector which seems to be very rare in this world. Any suggestions where to look is always appreciative.....

Thanks
DJO

For me Tv Airchecks = Station Ids. Calls, #, City. This can be done via to of the hour id...sign/off-ons etc...thanks
Edited by DJO on 02/25/06 06:28 PM.

Depends upon what you mean when you say "TV airchecks". I know one of the members - I think it was someone who isn't on much anymore? - collects TV news shows. Some of us have some programming, for instance, I have a 1984 NY Mets-Expos game and the 86 World Series. I also have some news shows from Hawaii in 1997 and 2001. But, I have them for myself and don't really look to trade them. It's a headache to unwire one VCR downstairs to rewire it to the one upstairs and then undo it later. But, will do it for someone who "must have".

One of my good friends has an incredible collection of shows. Visiting him was one of the most amazing things that I have ever seen. Literally racks and racks and racks of video the entire length of his basement. However - he collects SHOWS. He's interested in say "The Ed Sullivan Show", but not interested in the ID, commercial breaks, etc that aircheckers seem to like. If any of that stuff is there it's just coincidence, but he doesn't note it. (as opposed to me that likes the ids and commercials as much as many of the shows) His site: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/tomkle/

Tom also has a link to other collectors on his page, so you might want to at least use his site as a launch point.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any specific sites that specialize in TV airchecks.

TV airchecks are not usually what I do, but I will record stations in my market for traders upon request. I usually record newscasts and would expect the same in return. If you are interested in a trade, let me know.
