TV anchor charged with embezzlement

A former anchor with WLAJ/Lansing apparently got in trouble over her side gig as a financial advisor. She dated the man she stole the money from.

I wonder if they (and their competion in Lansing) will report on it in the same way other crime stories are sensationalized. Also, it seems to me a TV news anchor should not have any other outside work, because it can cause a conflict on intrest.
 
Well since I live in the area of WLAJ I can shed some light on it


She got arrested on wednesday, when police came to get her in her royal oak home, the temp inside was 32F, and the phone service was cut off and her home was in the midst of being forclosed

the only one covering the story is the station who blew the whistle on it WXYZ, the GM of WWMT Kalamazoo/WLAJ Lansing
Jim Lutton would only say that they did a through background check before hiring her.

She is being repped by Carl Marlinga and here is where things are getting interesting, there is evidence that Wangler is the victim of a an attempted extortion by Les Pingelly because he was stalking her and said that if she didnt marry him that he would ruin her life by saying that she stole money from him..

the preliminary trial is set for tuesday ..her bail is set at $25 thou.
 
Tonight, WDIV in Detroit reported that Suzanne Page was found Dead in her royal oak home , she was 42 years old
