TV changes in Ottawa

This month is seeing a couple of well-known TV personalities depart the airwaves in Ottawa. Leigh Chapple left CJOH earlier this month after 36 years anchoring the late news, and for a time hosting Regional Contact. And, tonight Kathie Donovan is hosting her final Regional Contact on the station.

Also on the topic of Regional Contact, the show will cease to be a half-hour program this fall, instead becoming a nightly part of CJOH's nightly CTV News at 6. There will be no loss of local programming, as the Sunday news will expand to a full hour.

36 years is still a pretty good run.
It's sad that it couldn't be a full 40 years though.
