TV Channel 40

Just wondering.....I remember a TV channel when I lived in Raleigh....It was channel 40 I think. The call sign was like WKFT? or something of the sort. Well, I can't find them or anything....Did they sign off or something?

Thank you!

yeah, WKFT went downhill after a plane crashed into their tower killing the pilot and sending their tower to the ground...

I remember when them and the former WYED (now WNCN) were in heavy competition, and WLFL was too..back when they were fox and before their 10pm news days...
