TV Divorcees (Men and Woman)

In companion to the widows/widowers thread. What about the divorced folk on TV

We had Viv Bagley on "Lucy Show," Ann Romano "One Day At A Time," "Maude," (who was both divorced and a widow), both Kate And Allie on "Kate and Allie" but divorce doesn't really sell on TV does it?

Some divorced characters I can think of:

-Lou Grant
-Ralph Malph's parents on Happy Days
-Ross Geller (Friends)
-Capt Frank Furillo (Hill Street Blues)
-Fay Furillo (co-starred on the show for the first several seasons)
-Luke and Laura on General Hospital (and any number of characters on daytime soaps)
-JR Ewing and Sue Ellen Ewing (Dallas)
-Ray and Donna Krebbs (Dallas)
-Pam and Bobby (Dallas)

Oscar and Felix on The Odd Couple (though in the final episode, Felix and Gloria remarried)

Barney Miller (was married in the first two seasons of the show, but was divorced after the third season)

Rhoda (after the third season of the show)

Willona on Good Times

When Gloria (Sally Struthers) from All In The Family got her own show "Gloria" in 1982, her and Mike were divorced.

I believe that Sally Struthers' character on Still Standing was divorced.

Weren't Ted Shackelford and Joan Van Ark's characters on Knots Landing divorced?

George Lopez's mother on The George Lopez Show.

According to Wikipedia, Mike Stivic had left Gloria to join a commune. Doesn't actually mention a divorce although it may have been mentioned on the show.

And, yes Gary and Val were divorced and each slept with every other member of the cul-de-sac. ;D

On M*A*S*H, Hot Lips married and divorced Donald Penobscott.

Dear John, Judd Hirsch's second sitcom, had divorce as a virtual centerpiece as it centered around a group of divorced people.

Was there ever any divorced people on a western? Just wondering. ???

Was Dear John ever in syndication? I never saw it anywhere.

Most of those people were only divorced after the writers ran out of ideas for married people, instead of divorced from the get go. Of course Felix got remarried in the series finale.

According to this site

http://gloria.netfirms.com/episodeguide.htm

In episode 18 Gloria Stivic gets her final divorce papers

A divorce was hinted at in an early episode of the Andy Griffith Show. In "Opie's Charity" Annabelle and Tom Silby have split up with Annabelle covering up the split by telling everyone that Tom died after being hit by a taxi in Charlottesville. Hilarity ensues when Tom unexpected returns to Mayberry.
