Comcast Waterbury, Connecticut which also serves the neighboring town on Wolcott has The TV Guide Network on both Channel 17 and Channel 100. On Channel 17 all the channel numbers are wrong. On Channel 100 they list all the channels alphabetically, but without channel numbers. Very strange. In neighboring Bristol, which is served by Comcast New Britain TV Guide Network is on both Channel 72 and Channel 100 and both have all the channels listed, except they have ShopNBC listed for both 71 and 89, when it's only on 89. Meanwhile nearby Southington served by COX Meriden has TV Guide Channel on Channel 19 and made it digital only as of 12/14/10 and they no longer feature the listings.

TV Guide Network - strange

I think the TV Guide Channel, similar to their magazine, no longer really cares about TV listings. Most cable systems now have interactive program listings, where you can decide what channels you want to see listings for, set up a reminder (or set your DVR) and even get specific program details, up to seven days in advance.
The TV Guide channel scrolls what's on every channel, now and for the next 60 minutes, so that if you miss the listing you have to wait two or three minutes for it to come back again. If your cable system doesn't have interactive program listings yet, it will soon have them, making the need to scroll TV listings obsolete.
On the other hand, TV Guide Channel got onto most cable systems by offering program listings but now has segued to running off-network sitcoms and reality shows. So I guess they'll keep their place on cable systems even as the need to scroll TV programs slowly slips away.

So far the only show I watch semi-regularly (and I often forget it's on) on TV Guide Network is reruns of Spin City. It would be better if they were showing all the episodes and not just from the later years when Charlie Sheen joined the show. Also if there's nothing else on I'll sometimes watch one of those TV Guide Channel Specials - i.e. The Cast of Happy Days - Where Are They Now?, TV's 25 Greatest Blunders (now with a 2nd episode of 25 more blunders), etc, etc. I'm not interested in the other shows they air i.e. Ugly Betty and Weeds.
Lionsgate probably wants to rename the network and remove what's left of the TV listings but that would probably involve a renegotiation in their cable and satellite deals, which might lead to carriage drops. They wouldn't want this, since TV Guide has snagged some sweet spots in the cable lineups when it was still in use for the TV listings.
