You mentioned some folks by only their last names and first names. Why? I'm sure there are some famous folks with the names Kutcher, Colbert, Kimmel, Amanpour, Conan, Dr. Phil, Seacrest we don't know about. Some readers need to know you were referring to Ashton Kutcher, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Christiane Amanpour, Conan O'Brien, Dr. Phil McGraw, and Ryan Seacrest.

You did not list programs for most of the persons under the "Per List" list. I don't understand that either.

I think 95% of the people know who those folks are (you did). Most people know the shows
also. Just typing what is there........was involving, the short names made it a bit quicker.

It would be so easy to think it was actually Ralphie Kutcher making good money on TV.

PER EPISODE
Julie Kavner Simpsons $400,000

Curious as to how much the rest of the voices behind this family pull down... Who would think Marge would be the breadwinner!

The others were not listed, but I would think Bart and Homer might make more.
The Simpsons started out as a very short cartoon on the Tracey Ullman Show.
Producers told Julie they needed a voice for the cartoon mother. I guess she
didn't think that voice would turn out to be her bread and butter. Ya think Tracey
ever wished she had gotten in on the act?

Considering Julie Kavner can only do one voice, she's doing alright. So does Yeardley Smith. Yeah I know they do more than one voice (Kavner does Marge's sisters and mother) but they all basically sound alike.

I saw an old article from the Telegraph.Co.UK that says the major cast members all make $400,000 an episode, but this was less than the half million they were asking for. But that was in 2008

I was surprised to see how little the guys from "Big Bang Theory" make compared to others. I expect that will go up over time.

....and a really sweet part of the deal for voice actors making $400k per episode? They can show up to work in jeans, shorts, unshaven, no make-up, whatever. What a sweet gig.

What might really surprise you is what they started out at. Something less than $75K/episode. Sometime late in Season Two (IIRC) when the show reached the top 5 they negotiated for a substantial raise (as in something around 100%) but it still was much less than more seasoned actors made for less popular shows.

But maybe the comparison with other shows just denotes how overpaid most actors are. Personally, I can't figure out why Cryer makes less than Kutcher.

You also have to remember those figures are salary only. It doesn't cover perks. Who knows what they get. Like some TV (and movie) stars have their staff salaries paid as well. Cryer probably gets a better deal with percentage on syndication than Kutcher. Other stars get limos, posh accommodations on the set, etc.

He may very well make out better but you don't really know what the package is worth. For instance, Nancy Cartwright (Bart Simpson) makes a boat load of money from doing personal speaking engagements.

The latter has some acting experience, appearing in films like "Maximum Overdrive" and the defunct sitcom "Herman's Head," which came along after "The Simpsons" started. She must be well off to not worry about such roles anymore.
