TV in floence/myrtle beach

i know this is a radio board so please excuse ...but i am curious how those in SC feel about the TV's in MYRTLE BEACH/FLORENCE....it appears media general is there.........big area to cover........

Yeah...Media General is there with WBTW, if i'm not mistaken, but WIS also covers Florence and MB. If you are asking if they are getting good coverage...who knows? I mean how much local TV coverage do you truly need in Florence/MB?

Re: TV in florence/myrtle beach

WIS is officially the NBC affiliate for the market. If I recall, it offers a customized cable version of itself ("WIS Florence") for the market. It's owner, Raycom, also holds a CP for a new local station -- WMBF-TV 32 Myrtle Beach. If I recall, previous owner Liberty planned to basically use it to replace "WIS Florence" as a local broadcast NBC affiliate. Raycom has since bought WIS (spinning off WACH 57 Columbia to get WIS) and WMBF-TV, so it's possible plans have changed... Though, since all the other affiliations are locked up (WPDE/ABC, WBTW/CBS, WFXB/Fox, WWMB/CW, WBTW-DT/MyNetworkTV) but NBC, it would still seem like that would be the obvious choice for WMBF-TV once it comes on the air.Chiphttp://users4.ev1.net/~chipk/ac/airchecks.html
