TV Land Awards

This is the only awards show that I pay any attention to. Did anyone else see it? The TV theme medley which opened the show was one of the highlights. I have to admit that it was cool to see Joey Scarbury belt out a bit of "Believe It Or Not", Tom Wopat & John Schneider taking over for the late Waylon Jennings on "Good Ol' Boys", and to hear "Where Everybody Knows Your Name". The Grey's Anatomy" parody was cool. Sid Ceasar(SP?), at his age hasn't lost his timing. As Jimmie "JJ" Walker would say, "Dyno-mite!"
______________

I saw it. I thought the exchange between Allison "Nellie Olson" Angrim and Danielle "Dee" Spencer was the coolest as was the "Grey's Anatomy" spoof with all those TV doctors and nurses poking fun at both their shows and their characters(i.e.Diahann Carroll as "Julia" responding to a "Code Black" as is if was racially motivated: "That's politically incorrect!").

I thought the show was horrible. For 2 Months TV Land had 20 award categories on their website and invited viewers to vote for the winners. I was looking forward to the results. They only presented 4 of those awards and one of the category's "winner" was Hillary Swank, who wasn't even a nominee in that category on the website, and the other 3 awards didn't have all the same nominees as the website. Megan Mullally was also dreadful as a host. The awards show is a great concept, but when it's butchered like that, it's sad.
Edited by Marshal on 03/24/06 01:58 AM.
