TV promoting non-co-owned radio?

I'm home for the weekend visiting family. I am watching channel 31 and they're doing Elvis stuff for his birthday, and it's all with KCCL. I guess they are playing all Elvis today. Haven't tuned in yet to confirm. It's cool to see TV promote radio. I always see CBS TV in other markets that I visit clients in promote CBS radio, but to promote non-co-owned stations is interesting.

I remember reading last year that KCCL did an Elvis thing. Did they get TV promotion that time too? I was in Phoenix at the time.

If CBS had a Oldies/Classic Hits station, naturally they would go with them but they don't so that is why they worked with KCCL. The other Sacramento Classic Hits station is KHLX but they don't play Elvis since they don't play 60's like KCCL.
