Don't expect anything dramatic with KTXH. The GM will do the least costly thing. All the Fox O&O's with duopoly UPN's like KRIV/KTXH in Houston have been commissioned to look at all scenarios with their UPN affiliates. In Houston, Fox will look at just adding movies and some sydicated fare all the way to moving Astros and Rockets games to broadcast from cable. Knowing the GM as I do, he will absolutely do the least entrepeneural thing that will not raise any eyebrows at Fox Corporate. That's why you'll probably see a few more movies and MASH reruns from 7-9P. Any GM with a little local spirit would consider showcasing local news on KTXH and trying to work in local sports teams. Don't be surprised if the best way to raise cash is to go as far as to sell KTXH for several hundred million dollars. This GM is so prone to avoid spending that he may have the only major station in a major market without a website. He has avoided adding a website just because it adds expense and an additional employee or two to KRIV's bottom line. He can't see the millions that KHOU, KTRK and KPRC are taking in on website driven revenues. He is a buffoon when it comes to running a television station in a major market. So, in summary, don't expect much of anything.
