TV: Red Rose Inn not coming back after all

Mentioned at the bottom of the page is that the Red Rose Inn is being liquidated in bankruptcy court, so Evelyn Madonia's threats over the last year that she was going to re-open the motel and once again terrorize Bright House Network viewers with commercials for over the hill doo-wop groups from the 1950s have all come to nought.

The restaurant itself was easily the classiest place in the area. Food was better than you'd find, and the atmosphere was laid back. The sound system was unique in that it did not blast you out of you chair while you had dinner. Acres of rooms right off I4, and more than a few musicians performing at the strawberry festival would come in and jam (no pun intended). Don't knock doo-wop. Remember what market you're in.

Two problems: The economy and what was perceived by many as an uber-creepy and unattractive advertising campaign from the owner with flaming red hair and elbow length dinner gloves.

Otherwise, I still miss it.
