TV Rescan Day

WSB (now on RF 32), WUVG (RF 18) , WATC (RF 34), WHSG (RF 22) and WUPA (RF 36) all have done so, presumably. WPCH and WPXA will affect their changes on September 11. WPCH is taking over WPXA's RF 31 and WPXA is moving their RF to 16.

The only other station in the repack is WGTV, which will move its RF from 8 to 7 sometime next spring. The other Atlanta stations--WAGA, WXIA, WPBA, WGTA, WATL and WGCL--stay where they are as they chose not to participate in the spectrum auction.

WATC 57.1 and 57.2 used to be as clear as a waving flag (most of the time) at my location. Suddenly, it is bright and clear as day! I've always got a great signal on channel 28, too bad all they can handle is shopping channels :(

Should add that the RFs of the six other stations are respectively 27, 10, 21, 24, 25 and 19.

WPBA broadcasts at 55,400 watts on RF 21. They may be experiencing interference from WATC which broadcasts on 288,000 watts on RF 22.

WSB Tv Translator Question since repack.

Is WSB tv still using the translators? I am not receiving anything except Downtown Atl. In Athens that signal is very unreliable. I don't see the Winder translator at all when rescanning.

The Athens translator is off the air. It had to make way for WPCH.
