NOTES
1. Used in only one episode
2. Not used in all episodes
3. Used in only certain parts of episode/series

The last few years of "All My Children" sure had it---or maybe it was real film? I wasn't a follower. I believe (fwiw) Wikipedia said it was "filmized."

I have commented that the last year or two of the game show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" have it, but maybe it was just my TV. Can anybody else verify this, or is it just the HD-to-SD conversion process? I think it's silly for a game show to have this. When I see it, it kinda looks like European video converted to US video!

Not our Beakman!

*dramatic music plays* NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I remember an entire episode of "Beakman's World" that did not have the appearance of a filmed movie.

OK - I'm not a TV techie. I realize there are advanced digital video systems these days that look as good as film.

But I always assumed that in the 70s and 80s, shows with that cheap shiny "video-taped" look were shot on videotape, but shows with that "film look" were actually shot on film.

Not true?

I don't think this technology existed in the 1980's. For example I think only the latter seasons of
Unsolved Mysteries were filmized.

I remember ABC's "American Detective" using the "film look" process.

Even the 2002 and 2003 MTV Video Music Awards were produced in 24P, which gives us that true film look quality.

I'm pretty sure the earlier seasons of Unsolved Mysteries were actually shot on film. Not "film look" but the real thing.

I think for the VMAs they just slowed down the Frames-per-second, since it would be hard to use film for a live event.
