TV Shows With Odd Or Precocious Titles

Here's one I remember clearly from the 90's:
Models, Inc.
It was a spin-off of the original Melrose Place that starred
Linda Gray(you know, Sue Ellen from Dallas), and Teresa Hill, some chick who
would never be heard from again.

Some ABC sitcoms from the 60's:

O.K. Crackerby!, a short-lived sitcom that starred Burl Ives.

The Second Hundred Years, another ABC quickee. This one starred Monte Markham.

The Ugliest Girl in Town, starred Peter Kastner as a man who posed as a female model.

Love on a Rooftop, starred Peter Duel and Judy Carne as a newlywed couple.

I remember that show. It had great early on promotion. My family was really looking forward to it. It was a let down. It wasn't funny at all. Very poor writing. In case you don't know the premise: A man (Monte Markham) was found frozen in the Arctic. He had been frozen for over 70 years. They unfroze him and brought and brought him back to civilization and his now elderly son (Arthur O'Connell). So dad was young and son was old. It could have been a lot of fun watching the father adjust to the changes of the last 70 years and to his now elderly son. It wasn't. It still sounds like a good idea.

"The New Show".

It didn't last long enough to become "The Old Show". It was sort of like "Saturday Night Live".

It was full of SNL and SCTV talent, and unfortunately just fell flat.
I didn't say it wsn't a good show. Buck Henry's name still shows up in the credits of the Seth McFarlane sitcoms, but this was where I found out how good he really was. Dave Thomas too.

Here's a list of short-lived shows that starred Cynthia Stevenson...

"Oh Baby"
"Dead Like Me"
"Hope & Gloria"
"Bob"
"Men In Trees"
"My Talk Show"

"Woops!" a terrible Fox show about survivors of a nuke attack on an island.

Imagine Gilligan's Island, but even more stupid.

And in the same vein of kitschy Fox primetime sitcoms, allow me to add: "Herman's Head" - co-starring Yeardley Smith in one of her few on-screen acting roles.
