TV stations with studios and transmitters in different states

Which US TV stations have their main studios in one state and their transmitting antenna in another? IN New England, for example, we have the following: WLNE 6 (ABC), WJAR 10 (NBC), WPRI 12 (CBS) WSBE 36 (PBS) and WNAC 64 (FOX) all have their studios in Providence, RI (or the nearby suburbs in RI), but their transmitters are all located about 4 miles across the border in Rehoboth, MA. WWJE 50 (Justice) is licensed to Derry, NH, but is now a subchannel of Marlboro, MA WUNI 66 and transmits from Hudson, MA (soon to Needham, MA). WNEU 60 (Telemundo) licensed to Merrimack, NH, moved its main studios to Newton, MA (as part of Comcast/NBC owned NECN) a few months ago and transmits from Needham, MA. WLWC 28 (IonPLus) licensed to New Bedford, MA a few years ago as part of the spectrum changes became a subchannel of WPXQ 69 licensed to Block Island, RI and transmits from Richmond, RI.

KSTW-TV Seattle their transmitter is in Seattle but their master control and studios are from the KPIX/KBCW San Francisco.

KNEP 4 Scottsbluff, NE has its transmitter and studios in nebraska, but it's also on the .2 sub channlel of a Laramie WY Digital LPTV.. does that count?:)

I believe most, if not all of the Louisville TV stations transmit from across the Ohio River in Indiana.

KFFX Pendleton OR, xmitter on Spout Springs near Pendleton, 'studios' in Tri-Cities WA...the morning newscast is ran by KAYU Spokane while the evening newscasts are powered by KNDU.
Master control is at KAYU.

WWOR-TV has a city of License in Seacaucus, NJ but it's transmitter and office is in New York.

WNET is located in Newark, New Jersey but it's offices are in New York.

NJTV is mentioned as a New Jersey PBS Affiliate but it's offices are in New York with WNET-TV and it's transmitter is in New Jersey.

WUPA-TV Atlanta their transmitter is in the Atlanta area but it's offices and studios are located at WCBS-TV in New York.

WWJ-TV and WKBD Detroit are CBS duopolies whose transmitter is in Detroit but their offices and Studios are at the CBS Dallas office.

Here is one more with KSTW-TV I forgot to mention sometimes their sales or management office for that station might be managed by CBS Sacramento in some cases while most of the other operations are managed by CBS San Francisco offices.

WTVY is in Dothan AL, with their transmitter in Bethlehem FL.

WMYT, Rock Hill S C, has its transmitter just outside Charlotte N C.

WINM, as well as all other TCT O&O's, is operated out of TCT's main studio in Illinois. Specifically, WINM is licensed to Angola, Indiana and its transmitter is near Edgerton, Ohio (400 feet east of the IN/OH state line).

WBOC has their studios in its COL of Salisbury, Maryland, but its transmitter is near Laurel, Delaware.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Fox do master control from a regional hub somewhere for most of their O&O stations? I think Sinclair is the same.

I think in the case of Fox, they throw to local control for news, but all other programming is at regional master control, but I may have interpreted that wrong.

Some FOX O&O stations are run out of a hub, where some markets have their own Master Control. Sinclair stations run their own individual MC's.

NBC and Telemundo stations have their MC from a Hub.

Wait I thought Sinclair has their Master control from the Baltimore area though.

Is this the new transmitter or the old one? It is my understanding they gave up their frequency in the repack and the main channel is now a .2 channel of WJZY.

And because the city of license is in SC they give the SC lottery results.

KCND-TV Pembina, ND? It targeted Winnipeg back in the 50s and 60s .. its studios were probably in canada

New one, I'd guess, I don't recall where the old transmitter was.

WTGS (Fox) is licensed to Hardeeville, SC (first exit in SC...I'm shocked they have both a TV and FM station with Hardeeville as their COL). Studios are in Savannah, GA. Transmitter is now in Pooler, GA (used to be in Hardeeville during the analog days along with the former home of Savannah-licensed WIXV-FM).

For quite awhile, channel 21 out of Brunswick, GA when it was ABC for Jacksonville (WBSG?) had studios in Brunswick, transmitter on those huge FM sticks in Woodbine, GA, and served the (primarily) Florida audience of Jacksonville.

Yes, the major television signals originate from studios in Louisville are transmitted from Floyds Knobs, Indiana.

The Evansville market studios and transmitters are mostly split by the mighty Ohio River. WFIE and WEVV have studios in Indiana but transmitters in Kentucky. WTVW has its studio in Kentucky, but transmitter in Indiana. WEHT is all in Kentucky, and WNIN is all in Indiana. When WAZE-TV still existed, in the analog era, its studio was in Evansville but its transmitter was some 20 miles south of the river.

All of the full-power TV stations serving the Yuma AZ / El Centro CA market broadcast from Black Mountain, in California. The English-language stations, KECY-TV 9.x El Centro and KYMA-DT 13.x Yuma, are jointly operated by KECY with studios in Yuma.

Not only is the studio in a different state than the transmitter, they are also in different time zones. California is in the Pacific Time Zone, while Arizona is in the Mountain Time Zone, although it is only a difference in the winter, when both states are on Standard Time. With the exception of the Navajo Nation in the northeast, Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time.

KMCC 34.x Laughlin NV, in the Las Vegas market, has studios located in Laughlin, but its transmitter is located in the White Hills outside of Dolan Springs AZ. Again, different states and different time zones, and again, there is only a time difference during the winter, when both states are on Standard Time.
