TV Video player

I have a question about a certain type of video player and Windows XP. I like to watch newscast from other markets, many TV stations have gone to this type of player... for example go to www.kfor.com and click on one of the video icons on the front page. At home, I have Win XP and it won't play this type of player. It just says "loading"...the player comes up but nothing ever happens. It does this on every station that has switched to this type of video player. Other players like Real and other Windows players work fine. At work, we had Windows 98 and it worked fine. But recently, they switched out work compters to Windows XP and now I have the same problem on those newly installed Dells with Windows XP. So I know it isn't just my home computer. It is something with Windows XP. But, I can't believe so many stations would play their video on a player that won't work with Windows XP! I've tried lowering the security settings, nothing has worked so far. Any ideas?

Do you have the latest windows Media Player installed?
I also have the Real Player 10 installed. With Verizon 3mb download dsl i have no problem seeing the video's.
