TV Viewers Wanted

This is a job posting (no kidding)...

From MarketTrack:

Media Monitor - Fort Myers, FL

Part-time individual needed to work from home. Record local TV programming and ship videotapes (at our expense) to our New York City office.

Must receive local Ft Myers TV channels and be extremely reliable. Preferred TV setup at home is cable TV with no box (analog cable), or TV with antennae.

VCRs and tapes provided.

$75 per month, on a freelance (1099) basis. This is an ongoing freelance position.

Have you seen such postings for your market?

Doesn't it seem odd at whoever this is is using VCRs and prefers analog cable or an antenna? I know I'd be out because Charter in Jackson, TN has gone totally digital and requires a tuner box. Something seems fishy on this.

I used to do something like this, but no VCR - they just wanted someone to make sure their infomercials were running at the time and in the manner they preferred. I just had to watch TV at a certain time and fill out an online survey.
