Given the sad state of the writing these days I'm not a bit surprised.
After years and years watching such stalwarts as Law & Order (the original only) it has now bitten the dust due to constant character changes. CSI (the original only) was discontinued at the strike beginning due to lame stories and weirdness. I never watch the spin-offs of these two as they sucked from the get-go.
I still watch NCIS and Desperate Housewives only because my better half likes them and I find it is easier to pretend I do too. NCIS might as well be a cartoon if its intention is to show any resemblance to a real organization. And DH is getting really long on the soap and short on the humor. I suspect these two shows won't make it back on my viewing schedule next season.
Survivor has been interesting this season although I've missed some former seasons due to boredom. It was fun watching the big-ego guys get handed their collective butts by the girls this year. The format is getting really old though. No other unscripted non-sports shows come close to Survivor even though it does show its age.
Other than those nothing else hits the tube in my hacienda with the exception of college football, NHL hockey and the occasional motor race.
C(BS) still leads the pack in viewing hours (although it averages only 2 hours/week).
NBC zilch.
ABC 1 hour.
Fox nada.
CW nada.
That leaves a few hours every day to catch up on the Discovery, Military and History channels.
