TVA: "Mi Maison es su CASA"

This week, TVA's home improvement specialty channel, "Les idées de ma maison télé", has become "CASA", named after the Spanish word for "house":

Why would TVA use a Spanish word to rename a French channel?

Odd enough, CASA DOES have meaning in Quebec.
If this were an all news channel, it would make some sense as an extreme left leaning news source.

For starters, it was a brilliant stroke to stake out a nonreformist posture not only in CLAC's name but in the very theme for the summit weekend as well: the Carnival against Capitalism. TVA's owner, Quebecor, has used "Mi Casa" to brand home-related content in its newspapers. The Homes Section of the London Free Press, for example, was called Mi Casa for a period of time.

Besides, Spanish and French are much closer languages than English and French.
