TVByTheNumbers.com's Fixation With "Chuck"

It seems that every time I go to the website, the top story always seems to be related to the fate of the NBC series "Chuck." (And today is no exception.)

Is it just me, or do the folks that run this website (and do a good job at it, btw) have a major (self-edit) for this show?

If all of the people who complain about "Chuck's" fate, and keep petitioning for its continued survival, would actually WATCH THE SHOW it would not be in danger of cancellation.

I almost wonder if whoever started the whole "save Chuck" crap years ago was doing the same thing that "Vote For The Worst" did with Sanjaya.

Its not the owners but there are tons of chuck fans who comment on many postings

Further proof of TVByTheNumbers' obsession with "Chuck":

On a day in which it is being speculated that "Law & Order" could be history after a remarkable twenty-season run, the top story on the website today is:
"It's Official: Chuck Renewed by NBC"

So, let me get this straight: A show that has been on the air for two decades, and inspiring several spinoff series, could be close to cancellation, yet they believe that a show that's been on the air for two years with mediocre ratings being renewed is the bigger story. Give me a break. It's to the point that when "Chuck" is canceled, I half-expect that website to fold, since there might be a shortage of things to talk about over there.

Tons of fans? Probably just the same ten people shouting over and over again.

I'm surprised that NBC picked it up for another season, given its continuous low ratings (then again, this is NBC). They're probably just doing this so they could have enough episodes to secure cable rights for reruns.

In other words, Eric, I guess you can say that NBC is going to be committed to the Chuckster 'til death? :D

a lame show that doesn't know what it wants to be...started off as a "comedy" but from its promos looks like a spy drama. Maybe the 3 people who watch it can tell us?

Chuck may be a "good show". But it's the ratings that count. Chuck is the Weakest Link! G'bye! :D

It's ratings may be a little lower, but the billing the show is putting out is higher than shows with better numbers. That's why NBC is keeping it. It;s making $$$, something NBC desperately needs.

It's still funny. And Sarah is still hot.

It is somewhat different in that Chuck is a respected spy now ... sort of. He's just enough of a bumbling idiot to be appealing, but because he generally knows what he is doing, one can respect the show.
