This morning with Big Mike on the air with Pollard (heard KC has to have big time heart surgery, GET WELL SOON KC) she asked him what the net line of the CDB song Devil Went Down to Georgia after "chicken in the breadpan pickin' out dough".......discussion then decided to take a caller to win a pair of Country Goes Huntin' tickets if they got it right. Played the caller who said the next line was "mama does your dog bite no child no" and she was awarded the tickets. It's not "mama" it's "granny", thought so but looked it up and it is "granny". Big Mike had it right but he gracefully (and smartly) didn't push the issue on the air.

Yeah this is picky but come on folks, it's not that hard to get it right.
 
as a musician & songwriter i can sympathize with your dismay.

there is a good explaination i can give. charlie daniels is still playing on many records today and i have seen him in guest appearances where he did indeed say mama not granny. he says in interviews it is just what whim hits him at the minute of performance.
 
We need to remember back in December when the then queen in training, Princess Kelly made a similar gaffe on what use to a good station. The Queen oversees her subjects...

Stewy, I know you know, so tell us when AP's syndicated TV show is going to start in this market. She's got major market country stars all lined and ready to be on her show. Folks like Travis Perry and Elvis and the Silverado Twins are all signed up to a contract. I hope it's as good as that live show from Cowboys starring Ron Bennefield and little AP, Jr. Her inuendoes are not only obvious, but distasteful too. We love that show. It's called "a trainwreck for rednecks". The only crazier thing on TV is that late night parade of POS cars with Misty and Gorbachev, you know, birthmark head? Sorry, I take it all back. The winner is the Bobby Dean overpriced dreamteam.
 
With the broadcast networks suffering double digit losses since the writers strike her show may take the place of the third night of Deal or No Deal each week ::).
 
Another idea is to photograph AP in poses of all the big stars for her calendar like Marilyn Monroe, Minnie Pearl, Granny Clampett, any Hee Haw Honey, Aunt Jemima or Thue Hughes.
