Tweaking on Lite and changes Ive noticed.

"Todays Hits and Yesterdays Favorites".I heard the Liner yesterday.I noticed a tweaking in music to an even more upbeat sound in the past few months but last night I heard "Todays Hits" and Yesterdays favorites.I would think a new imaging would be appropriate if they are going in that direction. BIG 105 MIX 105 something other than Lite Rock. There music is no longer Lite nor Rock leaning so its time to put LITE ROCK to pasture.anyone agree?

Why change a heritage brand? Do you think the average listener is really thinking about the playlist in relation to station branding?

No.

but come on guys this is providence. :)

Kenny, they're #1. How many more listeners would you like them to attract? They've evolved the music slightly from what I can tell, that seems like eenough to me. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Ok, You guys are right. 101.5 should go back to WLKW calls because they were on top too before the oldies flip.Maybe. It should be WLKW FM All Oldies All the time here are the B 52's and Love Shack.......Putting WLKW number #2 ratings with B101s popularity and people calling it an oldies station still. You guys missed my piont.

Better one.....Pro is Top 40 playing Sweet Caroline with its 600 % increase in downloads and people buying it.The song should be number one this week but it wont even make Ryan Seacrest American Top Forty

You're missing the point and making my point at the same time. The WLKW calls went away because the brand was old and stodgy. That was not a valuable brand when it went away.

Why do you think PRO-FM has had the same branding for over 40 years? Because it's VALUABLE. The music sounds nothing like it used to, but the brand means contemporary hit music. PRO-FM means new music.

What does the Lite Rock brand mean? It means "contemporary music that late 20-somethings and 30-somethings enjoy and can listen to at work, worry-free." Just like PRO, the music sounds nothing like it used to, but the audience is in the same age range that it used to be.

The brand is loosely connected to the actual music and more connected to the personality and tastes of the consumers.

You hit the nail on the head. Well written.
