Tweaks at the Zone

just turned on the radio and "today's best variety" is the only tagline i'm hearing now on the zone's imaging, as well as a live overnight jock (comarco)?

anyone else notice some changes to the sound?

That's the new slogan The Zone is utilizing now. The overnight jock you heard has been doing that shift for some time now but only on weekends, as well as other various weekend shifts.

I noticed a Production Director/On-Air position posted on AllAccess.com. I assume that is for KZZO and KYMX. One look at KZZO's website confirmed voice-talent departure. Lil Cee is doing afternoons in NYC. I can only hope the On-Air position is for a live shift and not VT...

fyi nomorejeffs, they've been warned about chatting on here several times in the last year by Steve C. and others, but they still do under different names. And it's the same jocks, but like I said, with different logon names. One wonders why they identify themselves as employees.

Mine and other identities are irrelavant. The fact of the matter is, a long time fantastic CBS employee (and friend) is no longer here. Why????? You could be next. The one bright side is, at least were not Clear Channel. Then again rumors in the CBS ivory towers are, that BK is going to make another round of cuts soon. Who's next? Me? You? Im willing to bet it's not BK's precious losing babies at KSFM.

whoever they hire, i hope it's someone fresh and new. That place needs some new blood, and management needs to give the new blood some time to develop a following.

what shall we set the over/under at for the new morning crew? 1 week? 2? a month?
last week i heard their imaging making fun of the fact that the last crew only lasted a week haha.

Lol! Actually, if I remember correctly, they did used to have Monica as the voice of the station. However, a few years back, they actually hired someone else to do the job. Maybe they realized how cheap they sounded or how ridiculous it sounded when "live" Monica bumped up against "imaged" Monica. Whatever the reason, the most humorous part was that they hired someone who sounded exactly like Monica.

Once again, way to go mis-management!
