that cant be true.. KTAR-FM removing of power 92 no way.. with kid an ruben out of a job currently.. you think they would snag the 2 to do afternoons or something...

Is Emmis selling their last Phoenix station to Bonneville? That's the only way it could happen.

I'm not doubting you since I didn't hear it, but I find it hard to believe. If Emmis wanted to sell KKFR, I'd think they would have done it when they sold their other stations.

What if they did the same thing with this frequency that they did to washington earlier this past week. Basically an agreement with AZ Republic and it would mostly be a news outlet not just talk.

Well that would be interesting since Power 92 just moved out of the Central Ave location to 7th Street above KOOL FM on the 5th floor.. nothing in this crazy radio business would surprise me but Bonneville would be paying close to 100 million to by KKRF... the Church (The Morman Church will not allow that type of music on any of their stations) would not buy it over a year ago because it's a successful station with great ratings and to pay that much for an FM station and then blow it up does not make much business sense..however....

OH MY GOD!!! I thought i was listening to a part-timer yesterday. What should I get at starbucks!?! Maybe that would fly on a "whacky" morning show as in between banter, but a talk station . . . can we say "slow" news weekend?

i predict emmis will acquire another fm in phoenix and there will be a bonneville news fm ktar, but it's not gonna be on 92.3
