Tweeter closing a bunch of stores

Including all of it's California stores.

They were a big supporter of the I-Sonic, I wonder if any other retailer will pick up the I-Sonic.

CompUSA just closed about half their stores. Rough time for consumer electronics (they carried as much general CE stuff as computers and related hardware).

It's hard for brick and mortar stores compete with internet stores. I just bought a Pinnacle HDTV USB tuner online for $99.99 no tax or shipping. I originally found it at Best Buy for $129.99 plus tax. I saved over $40. Such a large price difference is not uncommon. Hopefully other retailers will beging to offer HD radios since it is no longer "experimental".

Tell me about that Pinnacle. How much computer power does it require? I have a 3ghz P4HT with 512ram running Win XP MCE 2005. I'm thinking of turning the 'puter into a dvr/entertainment system when I buy a new tower later this year. I think the Pinnacle should run fine on that, but I also have a Dell Inspiron 2200 with a 1.5ghz Pentium M, and 512MB ram. It's running XP Home. It works just fine with the ATI TV Wonder USB Pro analog capture device. Think it would have enough horsepower for the Pinnacle?

I picked one of those up yesterday. Neat little device! If your machine has USB 2.0 I think you'll be fine. I haven't had a chance to play with the DVR yet, but the tuner works well.

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 notebook with an Intel Duo Core processor, 1 GB RAM. You should be ok.
