Twin Cities Radio Magazine

I was visiting Minneapolis this past weekend and stopped to eat at a Greek restaurant on Nicollet where I noticed a magazine called "Twin Cities Radio" (a free color publication). The September magazine was the premiere issue. I've never seen a city that had its own magazine for radio. I couldn't tell if the publisher was an independent or affiliated with a radio group.

Has anyone else seen this mag?

San Diego has had a couple of attmepts. I believe one was "San Diego Radio Guide," and there used to be a link to one of their articles, but I can't find it now.

Sorry... late to the party, as always ;)

The magazine is put out by Hubbard, a local broadcasting company which owns KSTP-FM ("KS95" Class C FM in St. Paul with an AC format); KSTP-AM (a sort of semi-conservative news-talk, also based in St. Paul), WFMP-FM ("FM107" licensed to suburban C o o n Rapids -- talk targeting females), KSTP-TV channel 5, and (if I recall) possibly a few other stations in the Upper Midwest. They also syndicate KSTP-AM programming to a number of outstate stations.

As far as circulation, it's insane... I saw a rack for this thing at a Tires Plus in a fourth-ring suburb! Not sure how often they publish, as I've only seen the one issue with Dave Ryan of KDWB on the front (even though it's been two months since your post).

<note -- holy cow, this board censors EVERYTHING; I don't think I've ever heard that word in my life, in any other context than the name of that city!!>
