Twister possibilities

ABC owns a few formats in other markets that they might flip the Twister to... In Chicago there 94.7 The Zone... they list them as Alternative but they just played Megadeath so I am thinking they are an active rocker. In Detroit they have 93.1 DOUG FM "We Play Everything" and 96.3 Modern AC. In Minneapolis they have Drive-105 Alternative. REAL Alternative... like the Edge used to be. Just some ideas... Discuss.

I'm leaving the active rock format to 93.3 once Susquehanna sells the station. I'm crossing fingers for Entercom or Cox to purchase it. We have Jack FM so no need. A modern AC station would go great but also considering 102.9 to take the format. Mix's playlist now is so oversaturated with the same 80's crap and Kelly Clarkson. Somthing like Drive 105 is a better choice. Looking at their playlist reminds me of the early days of The Edge. Another use is another CHR/Pop format. 93.1 DRQ of Detroit (before the flip to Doug) had a wide varitey of hit music that I prefered to listening to.<P ID="signature">______________

None of these will happen. I don't think the Twister is going anywhere until ABC decides to sell, then it will be up to the new owners.

Well, there's gotta be room for a "real" straight-ahead Rock station that might be well targetted, marketted, positioned, and promoted.

Even though the A/C format is being underserved, it is doubtful anyone would enter a market with two A/C stations in place.

Putting Radio Disney on FM might be a consideration.

Putting ESPN radio on two FM rimshots might be as well.

Scott Shannon's "Real Oldies" format might be interesting too.

Or maybe a Americana/Classic Country format, just what DFW needs
