Two Big Announcements From Selma Alabama

1. This one is taken from a Facebook Page: Something BIG is taking place this coming Monday on KIX Country 101.5 We think you are going to love it! Tune in for the BIG news starting at 6am. Any guesses on what this news is?? I believe my friends at WALX Radio is going to bring us John Boy and Billy's syndicated morning show. Stay tuned and I'll keep you posted on that.

2. This one is taken from my own mouth: Jesus Radio 93.3 FM is going to start the long awaited building phase, sometime next month or early March, after my father recovers from his knee surgery. It's going to happen on the 11th of February. Once we get him well, then me and him are going to get busy and do some cleaning around the studio building. WPJB-LP is going to be the most exciting thing to ever happen here. My scheduled sign on date, will be before this year ends. Hope I can do it.

As of this posting, I'm still trying to get more money and broadcasting donations to help put me on. Fixing to claim a tower, that someone wanted me to have. Gotta get someone and that donor to meet with me, within the next few weeks, so I can claim that gift, bring it home, clean it up and make it look pretty. The tower is in great condition. Just recently got my hands on two new fax machines, from my former Church Pastor. Still waiting for Mr. McCall and Hall to send me their donations too. Also waiting for Mr. Keith Hammond to help me file a new app., so I can relocate the antenna and transmitter, to the studio building here in Selma. Will let you know how the move and other donations turn out. Hope to have some good news on it soon.

...And yes Dan does have a chief engineer for Jesus Radio. The fellow works for the Dallas County Sheriff's department. Mr. Davidson saw my building, over the past few months. As he looked, a sign was on it. After a few visits, the fellow stopped by and wanted to learn more about Jesus Radio. As we were talking, he told me he has experience in radio broadcasting. This fellow then said, he wanted to help me get on and then run the broadcast. Once he got through speaking, I gave him the green light and told him he could do it. Since that first meeting, he's been by several times to see how things were going. I've told him that I'm still trying to secure more donations, as of those visits.

...And my finalized program scheduled has been created. Will reveal it, after I start building.

The antenna is fixing to be donated by Mr. Chris Hall. Still looking for a transmitter. If you can find a good one, let me know. I want it to have around 300 watts.

Big news for Selma Alabama. Say hello to Classic Country...Kix 101.5 FM. That's what my friends at WALX 100.9 FM HD 2/101.5 FM have done. Man I'm stoked all over it. Now I can hear more real music, with some real musicians playing it.

Dan <><

P.S. Expect Jesus Radio to do more of the older tunes too, on purpose, when I sign on. Stay tuned and I'll give you the details, once I reveal my own program schedule.

B.T.W. Man I'm loving this new sound. Hearing some Johnny Cash, as I post this.

Let's go on ahead and explain why I'm going to play the older songs and singers on purpose.

1. The radio trends here are saying the people want more of the older songs and less of the new.
2. God is leading me to add more of these classic gems to my CD collection.
3. I believe by playing them, success will be my best friend.
4. Still getting many requests to play those gems too. Can't keep up with the number of people that now wants them.

For those wondering...I still have plans of playing the newer songs too. Not going to be all Oldies music only.

Dan <><

P.S. Still loving me some Kix Classic Country 101.5 FM. It's a breath of fresh air indeed. The music and presentation is all that.

Sometime this week, the builder is going to file a new app. If approved, the antenna and transmitter will be moved to the studio building. My father's knee surgery is happening this Thursday. Once we get him recovered from it, then Jesus Radio will begin the building phase. Hope to start sometime next month. Will keep you posted.

Dan <><

P.S. Thanks to everyone for their continued help, advice, Prayers and encouragement, during this time. This soon to be radio station owner appreciates it.

Been out of town. My father now has a new knee. The surgery was a success. Sometime next month, after he's healed completely, Jesus Radio is going to begin the building phase.

My father has now graduated from a walker to the walking stick. The recovery is still ongoing. Once Mr. Keith files the new app. and gets it approved, the building phase for Jesus Radio will begin. Hope to start sometime next month.

We're fixing to get busy, within the next few days. The new app. for relocating the antenna and transmitter is fixing to be filed. Once approved, then Jesus will begin its building phase. Hope to begin broadcasting, before the year ends.

P.S. My father's knee is still recovering, for those wondering. Hope it'll be well, within the next few weeks.

A new update to share.

Some of the big items are on their way.

They include a mic, an audio mixer, The EAS Device minus the CAP Converter, possibly two antennas and more music.

Now with the two antennas, if I get that many, will work this way.

One will be used right away.

The other will be place in reserve for future use or for a replacement should I need it.

Jesus Radio is falling into place now.

Man I'm excited over it.

Hope to share more news with you soon, on my progress.

The rebirth of Selma Alabama, is fixing to happen. The new app. has been filed. Once approved, then Jesus Radio will begin the building phase. Hope to be on, by December 2016.

Dan <><

P.S. May God use this new LPFM radio station, as He sees fit, once it signs on.

Dan, that was fast! What was that? A day or two after the filing and it's granted? WOW!

Now for a prediction. Here it now and quote me later. The Selma radio dial will remain as is, once I sign on. The only change happening will be when Moody Radio goes all talk. This will take place just before or right after I sign on.

Dan <><

P.S. As of this note, still waiting for the electricity crew to come and help me set up power and get that donated tower. I hope we can get started within the next few days.

The building phase is officially on. We're now working on getting Jesus Radio up and running. Hope to be on before December 2016.

P.S. An amazing thing happened to me, on my way to see the tower again. While me and the builder was looking, we discovered it had an antenna on it. I'm glad he caught that. Now he has the antenna and is working on getting it tuned to 93.3 FM. Sometime next week, the antenna and tower will be moved to the studio building, resurrected and then put together. Things are getting very exciting here on Park Avenue.

B.T.W. If I get that donated antenna, Mr. Chris Hall promised me, then I'll have a spare one just in case I need it.

How is your station's progress, Dan? Hopefully everything is falling into place. I know this is so important to you! Are you getting feedback from your community, and, if so, how? MUCH GOOD LUCK, sir! Use every knowledgeable radio person you can find...we're all in this together.
