Two LA Legends To HOF

Two LA radio legends will be added to the Radio Hall of Fame in Chicago later this year: Shotgun Tom Kelly and Charlie Van Dyke.

One could say it's about f-ing time for each of them. Ellen K was inducted a few years ago, and they should have been in before her.

For what it's worth, the Radio Hall tends to favor major market or syndicated talent. Kid Leo from Cleveland has been nominated many times, and never makes it past the cut. This is the Hall you want to be in. Previous inductees include Bob Hope, Gene Autrey, and Jack Benny.

I agree about the two you mentioned (though I hope Machine Gun Kelly's over-the-air work is also mentioned for much of that was excellent as well). I'm also glad that Fred Winston (of WLS fame) and, from a very different perspective, Rickey Smiley (I find his commentaries to be much more enlightening in the Trump age than many of my own skin color) got in this time around.
