Two new Air 1 stations in Lubbock?

Could just be harmonics, I sometimes hear Z102 in wierd spots on the dial. But Air 1 is notorious for being frequency hogs, and since Lubbock is Bible Central, it would not at all suprise me.

That said, I don't see why we need 4 stations all playing the same Christian Rock all at the same time, just my 2 cents worth...

New Air 1 Stations on 94.1, 99.1 Lubbock

Nope, they really did put two new air 1 stations in. Its listed on radio-locator now.

K231BE (http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/info?call=K231BE&service=FX) on 94.1 and K256AX (http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/info?call=K256AX&service=FX) on 99.1. Why the heck did they do that when we can listen to it on 107.3? Yes, I know the signal for 107.3 is weak since it is coming out of Post, but this doesn't help considering that both of these barely cover Lubbock.

Looks like 94.1 is best in the NW part of the city, while 99.1 covers NE. I guess they feel 107.3 takes care of the south half.

Only the 94.1 station is listed at Air1's website.

Would be interesting to compile a list of proposed stations for Air1 and its EMF sibling K-Love. I think there's a huge number of them backlogged in the FCC application process.

As I recall, in the "Great Translator Invasion," about 8-9000 applications were made by ten entities. That's out of 13,400 or so total applications. EMF was one of the top 10, but relatively speaking, a minor player with around 400 or so applications.

New Rock?

Any alternative station hit the hub yet...probably not, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Seems FMX is doing pretty well with absolutely NO competition, I mean rock 101 is there but are they REALLY!?...How's about an alternative rock station with a little bit of cajunas to give FMX at least a little bit of a challenge, I'm not saying that it would be a #1 in the market station but I really believe it could do well and be a pretty good sell for advertisers too. Enough with the latin stations in the christian stations...5 each is enough dontcha think?? Just a thought, haven't been in the hub for about a year so let me know what's up and your thoughts!
