Two new AM logs - 10/22/14

Was going to post but had some computer problems. Apparently my 2-year-old computer mouse bit the dust last night so my computer was "paralyzed" until I picked up another this afternoon.

1480 - KYOS Merced, CA; Mark Levin promo mentioning "weekdays 3-6PM on AM 1480, KYOS", weak signal at 1752 PT 10/22. NEW #630, 5KW, 635 miles. CA #109 and this beats WA as the state with the most AM logs!

1490 - CJSN Shanavon, SK; faded up at 1959 PT with end of Insight for Living, then fadeout, back at 2001 PT 10/22 with weather forecast for Swift Current and vicinity. Station repeats CKSW 570 (now the last SK I need). NEW #631, 1KW, 596 miles. A very nice log indeed on a crowded frequency.

Ironic that there's this monster signal on CKSW, but instead of snagging that one, you wind up logging the repeater on the graveyard channel! That said, I do recall from my drive through Saskatchewan in August, that CKSW is quite directional....and most of the signal is aimed directly opposite of your direction. Also, it probably doesn't help matters that you've got KVI there in your general neighborhood.

At any rate, congratulations on a couple of excellent catches.
