Two new Litton blocks to come... One to leave?

Looks like Litton Entertainment's "Go Time" (seen mostly on My Network TV stations) will be starting Sept. 17th. However, unlike the other blocks, "Go Time" consists of mostly repeats (except maybe one) of previously aired shows, some of which are no longer in production. The "Go Time" lineup is as follows:

1. 'Ocean Mysteries With Jeff Corwin' (repeats of previous seasons that aired on "Weekend Adventure")
2. 'Expedition Wild' (repeats of episodes that aired on "Weekend Adventure"; no longer in production)
3. 'Brain Games: Family Edition' (the only original program to air exclusively on "Go Time")
4. 'Dog Town, USA' (repeats of first season that aired on "One Magnificent Morning")
5. 'Recipe Rehab' (repeats of episodes that aired on "Weekend Adventure" and "The CBS Dream Team"; no longer in production)
6. 'Hatched' (repeats of first season that aired on "One Magnificent Morning")

Also, Wikipedia has stated that "Litton's Weekend Adventure" will end on July 2017 and be replaced by "Qubo"...
 
It will not; that's another one of those 'Saturday morning cartoons will come back' idiots. As far as I know Litton will pretty much rule all Saturday morning network blocks until some other company finally decides to step up to the plate or E/I is finally ended by FCC order, whichever comes first.
 
It will be interesting to see how our My Network TV affiliate, WATL/ch. 36 will schedule the Go Time block since they run Fox's Weekend Marketplace block from 10 to Noon (passed up by WAGA/ch. 5).
 
Even if E/I is eventually eliminated, that won't bring back cartoons on Saturday mornings. What time isn't taken up by the networks by news and sports shows will likely be turned back over to local stations, who will most likely fill it with infomercials. :mad:

Congress passed the law requiring E/I. The FCC can't end E/I unless Congress changes the law.

Litton's Weekend Adventure sure gets good ratings on Saturdays...even my relatives watch those shows once in a while, especially Born to Explore and the Jeff Corwin show.
I doubt Qubo replaces Litton. That's an ION thing, not ABC.

It absolutely should not. Anyone can edit any of the articles there, and there are many articles where misinformation actually wins out over correct facts, even when disputed.

The only Litton show I watch is The Inspectors, which airs in most cities at 11:30 a.m. Saturday mornings on CBS. I've been hooked on it for the past two years and am both glad and very surprised it is returning for a third year. It's the most unusual Saturday morning show I've ever seen. To me it seems like CSI for teenagers. Have any of you watched it?
 
Haven't really checked out The Inspectors yet, nor most CBS E/I programs. Most of the time for E/I shows, our TV is on either CW's One Magnificent Morning for their 2-hour block of Dog Whisperer: Family Edition with Cesar Milan, or ABC (whenever college football isn't an issue) for Rock the Park. Most of the time I'm out on Saturday mornings hitting yard sales!
 
Makes no sense for ABC to replace Litton’s Weekend Adventure with Qubo, since Qubo already has its own channel and also airs some shows on Ion and Telemundo in Spanish which is owned by NBC. Qubo is not owned by Disney or ABC, would make more sense for them to air new episodes of Duck Tales or some other cartoons that they hold the rights too if they wanted to air Saturday morning cartoons, but that’s why they have channels on cable dedicated to airing them. No idea who made up that rumor or who they got it from.

Networks need to bring back cartoons Tween shows on Saturdays none of this E/I stuff that The FCC needs to get rid of. Groups were ones that killed the cartoons on broadcast TV for E/I shows like The Campaign For A Commercial Free Child that always lies on their websites they don't want The FCC to change the rules on E/I keep it as is which is outdated last time they made rules on it was in 1990 which needs a lot of updating.

I really like Lucky Dog on CBS. The host rescues a shelter dog, then trains the dog to meet a specific person or family's needs. In several episodes, he's trained a dog to be a service dog for a disabled vet.

The E/I rules may be outdated. That’s one point of discussion. But assuming “networks” refers here to broadcast, that’s not going to happen. Nor does it need to from a business standpoint. E/I is pretty much the only thing keeping “kids”shows on the broadcast networks. But kids, by and large, with some exceptions of course, have more choices than decades ago. PBS does a great job with making educational shows entertaining, while the cable networks and streaming services cover everything from educational to brain-rotting.

Then you'll be happy to know CBS has replaced Chicken Soup For The Soul's Hidden Heroes with reruns of older Lucky Dog episodes.
